Here are a few pics from this week...including her debut as Tinkerbell!!

One Year Ago....

Addison Rose turned one year old on Tuesday, October 26th! The day was celebrated with a nice lunch at Flip burger with Michael, Addi Rose and myself. We enjoyed it but I think Addi felt a little slighted in that all she could have was her bottle and her own food! The following day, we took her to her one year check up and here are her stats: 18 lbs, 11 ounces, 27.5 inches tall. The peditrician said she's doing great!! One year check up in the books (with just a follow-up eye appointment in December - this is common to follow vision with premature babies). She had to have some shots and she was really brave but I think her feelings got more hurt than usual (but would you blame her?!?!?)

Thankful for a healthy baby girl!

A Month to Go and She'll be One....

Wow, really, a month before Addi Rose turns one? I was really thinking about that today while Addi stayed with me through the MOMS group meeting at church when another mom asked how old is she. She's 11 months old.... Where did it all go?
Here are the updates:
- 16 3/4 pound, 26 inches (continues to go up on the growth chart but still little for her age)
- crawls like a maniac
- pulls up in her crib and is trying to take steps (assisted only)
- Says "hi" and "dadda" and lots of other "babbly" type sounds, and mimics some sounds

She's a joy to have and is so sweet to everyone she's around. She absolutely is a "daddy's girl" - she just about jumps out of my arms when he comes home from work!!!!

I was really scared that she was born so early last year but I'm now getting to the point where I am actually super excited to have an October baby! Fall, Halloween, pumpkins, harvest - this is my favorite time of year (and it just keeps getting better with Thanksgiving and Christmas)!!!!
I can't lie, I already started thinking about her pumpkin-themed birthday!!! SO FUN!!!!

Nine months - already come and gone...

These are shots of Addison right around 9 months taken at her Wee-ta's house (my mom and dad's house). She really has fun spending time with them!
Addi Rose is the apple of her brothers' eyes and she absolutely adores them!

Major update!

Well I'm not a good blogger, I admit it...but when you have Facebook and it's so easy to update information on my iPhone....you see where I'm going with this... =)

So let me catch you up on my sweet girl ~

We've made it through her first Winter and Spring and she's still managed to stay healthy and well (keep the prayers going that it stays that way for a little while longer!)
She's getting so big; a couple of doctor visits back, we were able to take her off the extra-calorie formula. It's been a while since her last check up but she was over 12 pounds then; the pediatrician was pleased with her growth and says she is catching up to her "actual" age on the growth charts.

Back in May, she started rolling over (finally, she kept trying for the longest time and I remember on Noah's birthday, she finally did)! She doesn't quite have her balance but can almost sit up unassisted. She does roll onto her tummy and props up and starts to get in the crawl position but then you can see it in her face, she's just not quite sure.

Over just this past weekend, one of her bottom teeth finally broke through! AND, the one to the right of it is almost out as well! She is pretty curious about it and uses her hands and tongue to figure out what's going on!

Addi Rose is a funny mess! She absolutely LOVES her big brothers and her daddy - the minute the boys walk in the room (especially her daddy), she's looking their way, cooing to get their attention. It sometimes sounds like she's says "maaaaammmma" but only in the middle of a cry when she wakes up from naps/sleep (does that count?) and I've heard "da" and "ba" but that's about it. What I do hear the most are giggles! Her brothers can make her laugh as well as her "wee-ta" (her abuelita). She is also very ticklish and that usually prompts a bunch of giggles.

Girls are SO different even at the tiny age she is now. Having to wild and busy boys already, it's neat to see how calm she is but at the same time her activity level is busy but a different kind of busy than the boys!

More updates to follow - and updated pics too!

Take care and God Bless,
Addi Rose's mommy
